No. Each contractor must pay a small monthly administration fee of £29.99 in order to be registered with SafeTrade Middlesbrough, but this will certainly not effect the price you are quoted by the contractor. Each contractor is completely independent and as SafeTrade Middlesbrough does become involved in any contracts we do not take any involvement over the pricing structure employed by our registered contractors. We would recommend that you get quotes from at least three local SafeTrade registered contractors before deciding who to contract for the work – but remember that cheapest isn’t always necessarily the best.

How do I know a SafeTrade contractor is good?

SafeTrade Middlesbrough prides itself on only registering contractors who we feel confident will provide a high quality service to their customers. We continually monitor the performance of every contractor to ensure our required standards are maintained. If a contractor is found to be in breach of our terms and conditions or completing work that is below our required standards, they have their registration revoked…its that simple.

What if I have a complaint?

If you have a complaint then we want to hear it. Our contractors follow a strict set of guidelines with regards to contracts, complaints and dispute resolution. Our customer service team is readily available to deal with any of your queries and if requested we can contact the contractor on your behalf to help sort out any problems.
